All these people say its a terrible hospital. STOP your lucky we even have one selfish scum so that just proves my point. I fractured and dislocated my elbow two years ago and it healed very quickly. Just one thing patient food wasn't great but its better than nothing so im not complaining.

Old manager, Mr Genner I believe, is a very kind hearted man but i think he could do with sprucing up the place a bit. I would like it if it was very quirky but it's a lovely hidden gem in Worthing.

Disgustingly dirty. Mold in toilets and a bowl full of urine sitting on top of the bins in the bathroom. Never been so disgusted in my life! Staff are rude and leave patience (older aged) who cant get up to the toilet shouting for help for the staff to then go in and have a go at them and become aggressive because the patients are scared they might go to the toilet in their beds. I also have pictures of the dirty toilets including the bowl of urine! So much for a clean and sanitary hospital. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone! I have been in here for 4 days in awful amounts of pain to be given paracetamol. They are also trying to force me to have a ct scan when I refused because of the side affects that may be caused. I also had a cannula fitted very aggressively to the point where I couldnt move my arm for three days and begging and crying for them to take it out. For them to just stare and say they cant do anything then walk off! No stars are deserved for this hell hole

The care I received from the staff on Downlands Suite was exceptional. Regardless of job role each and every member of staff was a credit to the NHS. I was treated with dignity and felt so cared for. This level of care was extended to me by my amazing consultant who performed my surgery. He made the effort to come and visit me despite his busy schedule. Thank you Mr. Adamson. My only criticism would be of the various other doctors who made appearances on the ward (seemingly against their will) who were really quite abrupt and managed to upset a number of patients staying on the ward myself included. I would advise them to address their bedside manner as a matter of urgency. Indeed the nurse in charge of the ward wasted no time in voicing her disappointment in their behaviour either......The cleaning schedule here is almost comical- I dont think there was a minute in time where somebody wasnt cleaning/disinfecting/wiping down the bay. As someone who is quite obsessive with cleanliness I really appreciated this!!Wonderful care. Wonderful Hospital.

Outstanding staff and extremely clean hospital. Despite being really busy the staff are all friendly and smiling. Really make you feel cared for. A real credit to the NHS
