it was very good bc i saw jesus and his mum god there
Still being redeveloped. Used to have more facilities but now the mini railway, hire boats and the cafe has disappeared.
When i was little i used to love coming to brooklands. I even went there for Halloween ones. I used to go on the houses, there was a beautiful weight one that i always went on. When i last went with my dad the place was lonely and abandoned. It was so overgrown and the house where gone and what was in there place was roting wood and plants covering it. The playground was unstable and what was left from the swimming pool there was dirty patches of water. I loved this place and when i saw what was left of the park i almost cried.i didn't see the train but if i did the paint probably of chipped off.
This is an unhappy example of how lack of maintenance and basic caring seem to have affected parks. The lake is lovely and a nice walk with the dog and the play area had been kept up well. But the remains of a mini-golf largely buried under leaves and a paddling pool with smashed up water feature and similarly smashed enclosing fence lends a distinctly sad feeing to an otherwise nice stroll.
Garden centre, cafe, heritage trail for kids, miniature trains to ride around on and toilets, what more would anyone need for a visit. Great place.
