This is a nice place for a stroll or a short visit with children. There is a play park for young children and the cycling track is now reopened. My three stars are because there is much more scope for the general park area which has been left to go to ruin and the cycle track is littered with dogs mess as people forget their responsibilities as dog owners.
What was an amazing place to visit when I was a kid now resembles a post nuclear war park. Even the ducks looked like they'd had enough.
A nice park with lots of wildlife and green space. A good place to spend 20-30 minutes on a lunch break. The lake is beautiful with lots of different species of birds.
Lovely Park with picnic tables and footpaths for walks. Nice lake but a pity the caf is closed so nowhere warm to sit and have a meal or tea which is what is needed in this cold weather!
The facilities here are closing in September. Do NOT visit expecting to find a paddling pool and a great day out. Cafe is closed, there is a burger van in the car park. The train operates at the weekend, and the soft play area is open, and there is a playground, but that's about it. The whole area is being turned into a nature reserve
