Excellent company
We bought a property through cubit & west goring agents, offered in August did not complete till end of the eprember, the entire time we wer under the impression that the flat above was a rental with a single occupant, being a share of freehold this sold us the flat as we would have control if they wer noise issues (my partner has epilepsy) imagine our surprise when we move in (to a gas leak also) that it's a young couple living up there who bought the flat in July before we had even made an offer. Through our entire purchase we had the wrong information and would not have bought the property if we had known it had a young couple as owners so flat is back on the market (thanks for wasting our time and a whole lot of money)
I never leave reviews but I felt like I had to after today's experience.I was about 15mins late to a 9:30 viewing (my bad, fair enough) and caught the rep just in time to have a speed through the house. She said that she had to rush off to other viewings in Worthing and we noticed that she was scheduled to show me around another place at 10:30 and had a bit of a laugh about it.Roll around to 10:30 and my girlfriend and I have been waiting for 10 minutes already at the property. At 10:50, I called the Southwick office by accident and they said that they would try to get through for me and see what was happening. After some more waiting, I called the Southwick office again who explained that it was supposed to be the homeowner to show me around according to their system. My email confirmation clearly stated a representative, but whatever - we rang the bell. There was no answer, so we knocked on the door a couple of times as well. Evidently, the homeowner wasn't in.I called them later and they tried to blame me and tell me that she was there! No apologies or anything, just a blunt, accusatory tone.
Not impressed to have received a letter from the estate agents today - we have chosen to sell via a very well known online agents and cubits letter is a silly story about how the house was over valued and no one will look round - thankfully after 24 hours on the market we got a close to asking price offer. Their letter has made us realise we made the right choice by going online.
We recently purchased a house though them and it was a total nightmare.They are completely useless, unhelpful and totally inept. I cant believe they are still in business.Do not use this estate agent, you will regret it if you do!They are only interested in making as much money as possible from selling the services of their sister companies, like the conveyancing service, which is also a disaster area. We did not use that service but the vendor did and the solicitor managed to lose the whole file related to the the sale!!!!!!!Do not use them!!!!!!!
